Personal Licence Training (UK) Ltd are now holding more APLH personal licence courses in Bristol and the South West. After relocating to their new head office in Cheltenham the Companies new Managing Director "Mr Dean Carr "is focused on providing more licence holder courses in the South West region.

PLT now offer the Award for Personal Licence Holders in Bristol and Bath. To cover the rest of the South West the Company also offer courses in Barnstaple, Bornemouth, Cheltenham, Exeter, Plymouth, Swindon and Taunton.

A new looking website has been developed to focus on regional areas like the South West. The company is also looking to add a new training venue in Cornwall and maybe additional APLH courses dates in the Weymouth area.


PLT and our professional alcohol licensing team can also process your personal licence application on your behalf which includes, your training course and course book APLH examination, completing all the relevant paperwork, conducting your Basic CRB check, endorsing your photographs taking all the hassle out of applying for a licence. Cost £295 including VAT.

If you prefer you can choose just to undertake our training course and examination then make your own application to the relevant Licensing Authority. Cost £150 +VAT


  • Once granted a personal licence is valid for ten years and can be used anywhere in England & Wales.
  • A personal licence will allow the holder to sell or authorise sales of alcohol under a Premises Licence or Temporary Event Notice (TEN).
  • A personal licence will allow the holder to be named on a Premises Licence as the acting Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) also known as the Licensee.
